And we finally get to meet little Avah! AND see the family, book our WEdding venue, visit with Sam and Marc, and so on! Can't wait.
One really sad and hard thing right now that we have to put Shadow down. I have been a basketcase the past 2 weeks. It had to be one of the hardest decisions I have had top make. Unfortunately he has bitten twice, and has not been himself at all. He's been very aggitated and shifty. He was always quite agressive and we could handle that. But when we have people over, or just one guest for that matter he starts to become VERY aggitated and then does his thing. What will happen he will get really pouffy...his hair will be on edge and then he starts this howl-like meow...then he starts hissing. The very first time it happened he got me luckily...Brooke was over visiting, and thankfully he didn't bite her. He bit on my right calved on the side. I did have to get a tetnus shot, and the Dr. gave me antibiotics because he did get infected. The second time girlfriend Amanda came over for a visit...as soon as she walked in, he was instantly annoyed...Nothing personal girl! lol But then we went to hug, and he started hissing...I knew what was to happen next, so I slowly was backing away to try and grab my throw on the chair in the livingroom to wrap around the bottom half of me so that he didn't get me in the legs again, 'cause man it hurts!! As I turn the little bugger get ME again, on my calve at that back...I don't understand why he would lash out at me.
So needless to say, we cannot trust him at all. I have been speaking to the vet about our options. There is a MEd we can TRY, $75/mth. We just can't afford another bill. As much as we do love him. The Vet has stressed the fact that he would never recommend us giving a cat like this away, he just wouldn't be great with others. And he doesn't have front claws, so therefore we can't give him to a local farm outside city limits. So we have decided to put him to rest.
It has been a really rough week for us and I hope we're making hte right decision, even though it's a really hard one. He knows we love him!
